It’s springtime and for most of us that means we are looking at our landscape and deciding what we want to do next, where our yards need work, and what adjustments we want to make. While you’re contemplating all of this, you may want to consider adding a native or waterwise lawn to your landscape or replacing your current Kentucky Bluegrass Lawn with one.
There are many benefits to using native grasses. Yes, the first year will require some work for installation and extra water to get established but after that, generally native grasses require less water, prefer less mowing, and need far less fertilizer, if any.
