Homemade Dog Biscuits   arrow

No Waste Wednesday Logo

Do you have over ripening bananas in your kitchen?  Don’t throw them out!  How about making an easy and delicious homemade treat for your furry friends!  This simple 3-ingredient dog biscuit recipe is also a great activity to do with kids while they are home!

two bananas peanut butter and oats

Gather your ingredients:

2 ripe bananas (the riper, the better)

½ cup peanut butter (check the ingredient label to make sure your peanut butter does not contain an artificial sweetener called xylitol.  This is very toxic to dogs)

1 ½ cups uncooked oats

blender

Use a blender or food processor to grind up the oats into a fine powder.  If you don’t have access to oats or blender, you can always substitute regular flour.

Mix all ingredients together and roll into a thin sheet.  If the dough is crumbly, add another tablespoon of peanut butter.

Use cookie cutters to create dog biscuits.  If you don’t have any cookie cutters, the opening of a water class or coffee mug works well too!
