Contest Day open in 4-H Online

contest day april 17 background includes a cake and a table settingContest Day registration is now open in 4-H online.  The deadline to register is Friday, April 10 at 5:00 p.m.,  and Contest Day will be Saturday, April 17. Contest day events include Cake Decorating, Creative Cooks, and Public Presentations (Demonstrations/Illustrated Talks and Interpretive Reading, Impromptu Speech, and Prepared Speech).

Cake Decorating contest participants must be enrolled in the Cake Decorating project and in the unit in which they compete.  All other contest participants must be enrolled in 4-H but do not need to be in any specific projects to enter.

Cloverbuds can also participate in any of the events, and we encourage them to enter at least one event for the experience. They are eligible for participation ribbons and won’t “compete” against anyone in their class. It’s simply good public-speaking practice for when they are old enough to be 4-H members.

There is no entry fee for any event at the Pueblo County Fair Contest Day,  either for members or for cloverbuds.

Check your email for an email with full details including how to register.
