CLC and DTBY Camp registration open!

There are TWO fabulous 4-H camps coming up the weekend of November 3-5.
Yes, they are both on the same date, and the age range sort of overlaps, but it’s great to have choices! Registration closes on Wednesday, September 27 at 5:00 PM for both events, so get registered ASAP!

One camp is for youth CURRENTLY in grades 6 – 9 and is called Colorado Leadership Conference (CLC). It is held in a nice hotel in Glenwood Springs with many activities at the local rec center, and it includes a pizza party and a trip to the local hot springs! The cost of the camp is $160, but there are sixteen partial scholarships available. Since I cannot go this year, our Agriculture Agent, Tom Laca, and his wife, Jill Laca, are going to chaperone the trip (which is open to counties state-wide). Seats are limited and some scholarships are also on a first come, first served basis. More details about the trip are attached.

The other camp is for youth CURRENTLY 4-H age 10-12 (meaning they will be 4-H age 11-13 starting October 1) and is called Dare To Be You Camp (DTBY). It is held in the dorms on the Colorado State Fairgrounds here in Pueblo with lots of fun activities, often including a trip to the CSU-Pueblo pool, a fun dance, and lots of crazy contests! I will be chaperoning this trip (which is open to 24 counties in southern CO). Space is limited and some scholarships are available on a first come, first served basis. More details about the camp are attached.

November 3-5 will be a great weekend for 4-Hers! I hope you can join us on one of these fun trips!
